Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Multi-Skilled)

You will be joining the Gartnavel General Hospital Estates Department as a Mechanical Multi Skilled Technician in a permanent, full-time role with a shift pattern of Monday to Thursday (8am-4pm) and Friday (8am-3.30pm). Your key responsibilities will include: - Maintaining a wide range of building services plant and equipment - Providing technical expertise when required, ensuring safe and efficient systems of work for all building services - Supporting the mechanical services needs of NHS GG&C Health Board to ensure safe patient care delivery - Examining and inspecting faults in plant and machinery, recommending repair solutions - Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and completing all necessary documentation - Working in compliance with NHS GG&C Health and Safety and SHTM Policies and Procedures - Undertaking minor alterations and modifications to existing services - Organizing and managing your workload and priorities on a day-to-day basis Qualifications required for this role include: - Recognized and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft Apprenticeship or City & Guilds appropriate qualification - Competent tradesperson with extensive relevant experience in building maintenance, preferably in the healthcare sector - HNC or equivalent qualification in a core subject with additional qualifications as required in non-core skills - Designated individuals will need to undergo training to be certified as a Competent Person for specialist duties NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde- NHS Scotland promotes a culture of inclusion and encourages applications from all sections of the community.
