Mechanical Fitter

You are a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical components and systems to ensure efficient operations. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, assemble components, conduct maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safety compliance. Collaboration with team members to meet deadlines and record-keeping of work performed are essential. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. - Assemble and fit mechanical components according to design requirements. - Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments for fitting tasks. - Perform routine maintenance and inspections of machinery and equipment. - Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems. - Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures. - Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. - Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. - Test and commission installed systems to ensure proper functionality. - Assist in the modification and improvement of existing mechanical systems. Requirements: - ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification. - Proven experience as a mechanical fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and maintenance procedures. - Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and schematics. - Hands-on experience with a variety of tools and machinery. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the machine tool industry or working with CNC machines. - Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Certification in welding or fabrication.
