Job Description

You will be joining our engineering team as a SolidWorks Design Executive, where your primary responsibility will involve designing and developing 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for machine components and systems using SolidWorks. Your role will require a combination of creativity, technical expertise, and manufacturing awareness. Your key responsibilities will include creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. You will design machine components, sheet metal parts, weldments, and fabricated assemblies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as production, procurement, and QC will be essential to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. You will also be revising and updating existing drawings and documentation as per engineering change requests, performing tolerance analysis, and applying GD&T as required. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing CAD libraries and design data, preparing BOMs, and ensuring alignment with ERP systems. Your role will involve assisting in prototyping, testing, and resolving technical issues during assembly, as well as supporting R&D initiatives for product improvement and innovation. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in SolidWorks, including Part, Assembly, Drawing, Weldments, Sheet Metal, and Surfacing. A good understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, fabrication, and casting is required. Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and design standards is essential, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with PDM systems and design documentation will be beneficial. Key skills and competencies for this role include excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Qualifications for this position include a Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Certification in SolidWorks is optional but preferred. Experience in the design of machine tools, industrial machinery, or automation systems will be considered a strong advantage. This is a Full-time, Permanent position with benefits including leave encashment and Provident Fund. The expected start date for this role is 21/07/2025. The work location is in person. Experience required for this role includes a minimum of 2 years of proficiency in SolidWorks.,
