Mechanical Fitter

Roles and Responsibilities1. Assembly & Installation

• Assemble mechanical parts, structures, and machinery according to technical drawings.
• Install components such as shafts, bearings, motors, and gears.
• Ensure proper alignment and fitting of all parts.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Perform routine maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Replace worn-out parts and ensure the machine runs smoothly.

3. Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Follow precise measurements and tolerances during fitting work.

4. Fabrication Work

• Cut, drill, grind, and shape metal components as required.
• Fit and weld components if required (depending on skill set and company requirement).

5. Quality Control

• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality.
• Use measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Maintain quality standards throughout the production and installation process.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all workplace safety rules and use PPE appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with mechanical and operational safety standards.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily maintenance reports and job logs.
• Record repair and installation activities for future reference.
• Communicate any issues or material shortages to supervisors.

8. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.
• Assist in training junior fitters or helpers when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,638.54 - ₹25,000.00 per month
