Role & responsibilities Job Description '- Attend and resolve all mechanical breakdowns during the shift to ensure uninterrupted plant operations - Follow preventive maintenance schedules and adhere to SOPs for routine servicing of mechanical equipment - Responsible for the maintenance and smooth functioning of the Raw Material Handling System, including conveyors, feeders, and associated mechanical systems - Oversee and maintain Air Pollution Control Systems and air compressors to ensure compliance and operational reliability - Carry out maintenance activities for water cooling systems, including Pump House, cooling towers, water pumps, and water softening units - Coordinate with the electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure quick issue resolution and operational efficiency - Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and equipment performance Preferred candidate profile Key Skills Required '- Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance in a heavy process industry (preferably in ferro alloy plants) - Strong knowledge of breakdown and preventive maintenance procedures - Working experience with raw material handling systems, including conveyors and crushers - Familiarity with air pollution control equipment, air compressors, and utility systems - Technical understanding of pump systems, cooling towers, water softeners, and fluid systems - Ability to read and follow maintenance SOPs and perform planned inspections - Good coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams (electrical, operations, instrumentation) - Attention to safety standards, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation - Capable of maintaining basic maintenance records and logs Joining Timeline : Before 15 September 2025
