Description
Lead and execute mechanical design projects from concept to completion product, Carries out detailed mechanical design work including 3D models, perform simulations (mechanical structural and thermal final element simulations) , and support design verification, Independently delivering engineering projects to scope, implement, Design review, monitor, and deliver designated tasks and deliverables to achieve design and development objectives, Support engineering change (ECO) processes, Redesigning, improve existing products for performance, cost, and design for manufacturability (DFM), Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project manager, Electronics, Software, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering , Manufacturing, operations, etc ), Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design presentations, Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, Ensure compliance with design standards and highlight technical risks, Liaise with suppliers and customers for DFM, reviews, and issue resolution, Design fixtures and tools for assembly, testing, and inspection, Requirements: BSc in Mechanical Engineering (MSc a plus), 5+ years in mechanical design (motion systems/electronics packaging preferred) in automotive companies a plus (hard to find with in automotive companies), In-depth proficiency in 3D CAD software experience desirable Solidworks must have Experience with mechanical structural and thermal final element simulationsc advantage Experience in prototyping, mechanical testing, and manufacturing methods, Experience with prototype development, mechanical testing, and manufacturing methods, material selection, design tolerances and design for manufacturability (DFM), Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, Familiarity with aluminium casting and automotive standards advantage Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, Willingness to travel as needed, Fluent in English,
