Mechanical Engineer 2

As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam Research, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives technological advancements in the semiconductor industry. Your role will involve designing cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, conducting feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication processes. You will play a key role in shaping the technology's packaging by providing crucial design information. Your primary responsibility will be to design gasbox assemblies based on special requests from customers using OEMs and designed parts, ensuring alignment with SEMI, Lam standards, and industry best practices. You will handle factory/manufacturing issues to maintain design integrity, define project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, and conduct detailed analyses for flow and thermal characterization of gases. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability, cost optimization, and compliance with requirements. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience, or equivalent experience. Desired skills include experience in designing liquid or gas flow assemblies, knowledge of different gas types, expertise in gas flow characterization, proficiency in 3D CAD tools, good communication skills, and experience in the Semiconductor industry. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of different gas/chemical behaviors, experience with tools like MathCAD and MatLab, and project management skills.
