Mechanical Draughtsman

Role Overview: As a Part-Time Mechanical Draughtsman at AniGears Engineering Solutions, your primary responsibility will be to visit industrial plants and sites across Eastern India to accurately measure couplings, pulleys, shafts, and related components. Based on these measurements and site requirements, you will be required to prepare precise 2D CAD drawings. Additionally, you will assist in creating manufacturing drawings, modification drawings, and dimensional reports, working closely with engineers to finalize drawings for production and procurement. It is crucial to maintain systematic records of measurements and drawings to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Visit industrial plants and sites to accurately measure couplings, pulleys, shafts, and related components - Prepare precise 2D CAD drawings based on measurements and site requirements - Assist in creating manufacturing drawings, modification drawings, and dimensional reports - Work closely with engineers to finalize drawings for production and procurement - Maintain systematic records of measurements and drawings for accuracy and efficiency Qualifications Required: - Hold an ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Draughtsman or Mechanical Engineering - Strong knowledge of mechanical components, particularly couplings, pulleys, gear couplings, and taper lock pulleys - Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus - Confidence in using measurement instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, and Depth Gauge - Willingness to travel across the Eastern zone of India for site work; preference for candidates residing in Kolkata or nearby regions Please note that this position is part-time, contractual/temporary, or freelance, with a contract length of 6 months and an expected workload of 20 hours per week. Visits to industrial plants and sites will be scheduled according to project and site requirements, with an opportunity for additional CAD work remotely based on performance and availability. Commuter assistance will be provided as part of the benefits package, and the work schedule consists of day and morning shifts. The work location is in person.
