Job description: Technical Skills- SolidWorks, 2D/3D drawings, Design Rendering, Concept presentation, Design Simulation (Motion, Stress, Drop etc.), Injection moulds, Aluminium die casting, 3D Printing & other prototyping methods, Product design, development & mass production life cycle, Experience in production environments Roles and Responsibilities: Develop new products, concepts and prototypes based on requirements from HQ in the Netherlands, Improve and redesign existing products. Analysing requirements for applications with a focus on visual/video systems and the mechanical feasibility of your design. Manage and overview the work of the tasks at hand. 2D/3D design, drawings, and simulation Experienced in the design of different mechanisms using springs, hinges, cams, links, joints, sliders etc. Regulatory compliance and product safety of the design. Apply principles of Ergonomics, DFM/DFA, and FMEA in product design Select the most appropriate material based on Knowledge of different standard materials for parts. Building and testing of prototypes. Developing prototypes into production-ready products (in cooperation with production in Ireland). Identify suppliers for prototyping and mass manufacturing of the different parts of the device and test their samples for approval. Assess production methods for the parts developed. Provide assistance in the start-up phase of production (in the manufacturing plant in Ireland or elsewhere), but also in the case of incidental or structural problems in the production process / field. Prepare technical documentation such as specifications, design descriptions, functional specifications, and test plan.
