Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee projects with international scope, ensuring adherence to global standards and effective communication across diverse teams.
• Design and development of mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Create and manage detailed 2D and 3D drawings using advanced CAD software like

  Creo

  and

  Windchill

  (Product Data Management) systems. detail engineering and drawings for products. knowledge of SolidWorks software is a plus.
• Product BOM management and SAP/ERP data management.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and perform tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure precision, manufacturability, and to identify and address potential issues in assembly and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive successful product development and launch.
• Prepare and present comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, BOM and project presentations.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on Bagging Machines, Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and Conveyors.
• Proficiency in CAD software like Creo, and other relevant design tools; experience with SolidWorks software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Have a good understanding and knowledge of standards/code selections like ASME, DIN etc.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with overseeing and managing international projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and effectively work on design projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
