Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer at Modern Industrial Automation Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (MIAS) in Salem, Tamil Nadu, you will utilize your strong CAD and SolidWorks skills along with 12 years of mechanical design experience to contribute to our conveyor and automation projects. Your main responsibilities will include creating 2D and 3D models, preparing engineering drawings, generating accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), collaborating with different teams, making design revisions, and ensuring compliance with company and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities: - Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD & SolidWorks. - Prepare manufacturing, part, and assembly drawings. - Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM). - Collaborate with production, purchase, and project teams. - Incorporate design revisions based on feedback and requirements. - Ensure all drawings adhere to company and engineering standards. - Support design improvements and R&D activities related to conveyors. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - 12 years of experience in mechanical design/drafting. - Proficiency in AutoCAD & SolidWorks. - Strong knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing drawings. - Ability to take measurements, prepare layouts, and convert concepts into detailed drawings. - Added advantage: Prior experience in conveyor design, material handling equipment, or machine design.
