Mechanical Design Engineer

Role :- Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience : - 7 years plus

Qualification: Masters or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering

Experience (Minimum): Minimum 7 years of experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

(HVAC) including Fire Protection System (FPS)

Software Knowledge: Certification in HVAC/FPS preferred, AutoCAD & MS Office

Role Overview: Assistant Chief Engineer HVAC & Fire Protection shall support in providing

independent technical consultancy services including design review, compliance

verification, system sizing validation, value engineering, and site technical audits

for HVAC and Fire Protection systems across projects.

Key Responsibilities: Review & Validate:

? HVAC design calculations, layouts, and specifications prepared by EPCs

/ designers.

? Review Cooling & heating load calculations

? Equipment selection (chillers, VRF, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems)

? Duct sizing, air distribution, and pressure drop calculations

Technical Compliance:

HVAC - Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning

? Ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards

? Identify design gaps, constructability issues, and optimization

opportunities

? Support HVAC system **commissioning review**, testing & balancing

validation

? Review project requirements, specifications, and design concepts to

ensure compliance.

FPS - Fire Protection System

? Review of FPS Design & Layout including Fire alarm & Detection system,

Pump sizing and redundancy, Gas suppression systems

? Verify compliance with NBC, NFPA standards,

? Resolve technical queries, identify deviations, issues and non-

conformance observations

Collaboration and Support:

? Work as Lead engineer, project manager, and guide other team

members to resolve design issues and implement solutions.

? Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering

team.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

? Maintain accurate records of design changes and follow document

control procedures.

? Prepare and assemble comprehensive documentation packages.

Quality Assurance:

? Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, and

units.

? Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission.
