Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Mechanical System Design

   • Design and develop

   HVAC systems

   , including cleanroom air handling units (AHUs), exhaust systems, and process cooling systems, tailored to semiconductor manufacturing requirements.• Engineer

   ultrapure water (UPW)

   , process gas, and chemical distribution systems to meet stringent purity and reliability standards.• Develop

   chilled water, hot water, and compressed air systems

   for facility-wide operations.

2. Cleanroom Expertise

   • Design

   cleanroom airflow systems

   (laminar flow, pressurization, and filtration) to achieve ISO 4-8 cleanliness classifications.• Ensure compliance with vibration, temperature, and humidity control standards critical for semiconductor tools and processes.

3. Energy Efficiency & Sustainability

   • Integrate

   energy-efficient technologies

   and sustainable design practices into mechanical systems, such as heat recovery, low-energy cooling, and water reuse.• Perform

   life-cycle cost analyses

   to optimize operational efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

   • Coordinate with

   process, electrical, civil, and structural teams

   to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall facility design.• Support tool installation teams by aligning mechanical designs with equipment utility requirements.

5. Technical Documentation & Deliverables

   • Prepare and review

   mechanical design drawings

   , specifications, and submittals using tools like

   AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360

   .• Develop

   P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)

   and

   mechanical flow diagrams

   for process systems.• Generate

   equipment schedules

   ,

   load calculations

   commissioning plans

   .
