Mechanical Design and Development Engineer

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer at a Robotics company in Ahmedabad, your primary responsibility will be to focus on the aesthetic design of consumer electronics products through use case and functionality analysis. You will be required to research and analyze the various ways a product may be used, as well as the target users. Additionally, you will sketch ideas, create renderings, develop virtual models using computer software, and create physical prototypes. Your role will also involve examining materials, determining production costs, collaborating with other specialists, and evaluating product safety, appearance, and function. Finally, you will present designs and prototypes to clients for approval. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct aesthetic design of consumer electronics products with use case and functionality analysis - Research and analyze the usage scenarios and target users of the product - Sketch ideas, create renderings, and develop virtual models using software like Fusion 360 and SolidWorks - Create physical prototypes of designs - Determine production costs by examining materials and manufacturing requirements - Collaborate with mechanical engineers and manufacturers to evaluate design concepts - Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function for practicality - Present designs and prototypes to clients for approval Qualifications Required: - Experience in mass production manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding, Sheet metal, or Vacuum casting - Familiarity with rapid prototyping processes like CNC Machining, 3D printing (SLA, SLS, and FDM) - Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Ability to interact with local suppliers and MSME vendors for technical queries,
