Job Title: Material Testing Engineer Engine Plant Department: Quality / Material Engineering Location: Ashok Leyland Unit 1 Hosur Reports To: Site Manager / Quality Head Industry: Automotive / Engine Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-time Role & responsibilities Hardness Testing Cutting & Drilling Examination Material Examination Compliance Verification Failure Investigation Documentation & Reporting Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of material science, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes . Hands-on experience with hardness testers, sample cutting, and drilling tools . Proficiency in operating Hot Molding and Auto-Polishing machines for metallurgical sample preparation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and material specifications . Knowledge of safety protocols while handling and operating testing equipment. Basic skills in report preparation and proficiency in MS Office . Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering . 14 years of experience in material testing within the automotive or engine manufacturing industry.
