Mechanical Cad Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical CAD Design Engineer with over 3 years of hands-on experience in 3D modeling, detailed mechanical design, and CAD drafting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to develop high-quality designs from concept through production. Key Responsibilities: - Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent). - Perform detailed mechanical design of parts and assemblies ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality. - Interpret product requirements and translate them into technical designs and documentation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering to optimize design performance. - Conduct tolerance analysis, interference checks, and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). - Support prototype builds and testing; incorporate feedback into final design iterations. - Maintain design documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and revision history. - Provide technical support during product development and manufacturing phases. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and CAD modeling. - Proficient in at least one major CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX). - Solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, materials, tolerances, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). - Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter) is a plus. - Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
