Materials & Process Engineer

What you'll do

• Composite Manufacturing Process Development

  Develop, optimize, and validate all composite manufacturing processes and material choices.

• Mold & Tooling Design

  Design end-to-end composite molds and tooling for efficient, consistent manufacturing.

• Prepreg & Material Selection

  Select, qualify, and manage all prepregs and composite materials used in production.

• Cure Cycle Design & Optimization

  Define and optimize cure cycles to ensure part quality, stability, and efficiency.

• Manufacturing Procedure Documentation

  Build clear, complete manufacturing instructions and quality checkpoints.

• Production Support & Process Improvement

  Support builds on the floor and drive continuous improvements across quality, cost, and throughput.

What we're looking for

• 34 years of hands-on composite manufacturing experience in aerospace or high-performance builds.
• Strong fundamentals in mold design, layup development, prepreg/autoclave processing, and cure cycle optimization.
• Solid understanding of composite materials, laminate theory, and manufacturing-driven structural behaviour.
• Ability to run basic FEA/thermal analysis and create clear, repeatable manufacturing procedures.
• Comfortable troubleshooting on the floor and working in fast-paced prototyping environments.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with metal matrix composites (MMC) or aerospace metal structures (aluminum, titanium) manufacturing and joining.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (UT, thermography, tap testing) and quality inspection methods.
• Knowledge of composite repair procedures, patch design, and damage assessment.
