Key responsibilities

  • Formulation and development: Design and refine fragrance formulas using both natural and synthetic ingredients to create unique scents.
  • Production supervision: Oversee daily manufacturing activities, including mixing, blending, and filling processes, and ensure smooth and efficient production line execution.
  • Quality control: Ensure all formulations comply with industry standards and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Monitor and control processes to guarantee consistent quality and safety.
  • Testing and analysis: Conduct stability and compatibility testing for fragrance formulations and analyze raw materials for purity and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of formulations, testing procedures, results, and raw material usage.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and quality assurance, to align fragrances with brand goals and customer preferences.
  • Compliance and safety: Ensure all processes adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new raw materials in fragrance chemistry.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fragrance formulation, preferably in the consumer goods or cosmetic industry.
  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of organic chemistry, olfactory science, and various fragrance ingredients. Proficiency in analytical techniques like gas chromatography and mass spectrometry is often required.
  • Soft skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating across departments. A strong sense of smell is a fundamental requirement.
  • Creative and artistic ability: The ability to blend scientific knowledge with creativity and artistic intuition is crucial for scent design

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,443.67 - ₹45,000.00 per month
