Manual Testing

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing test-suites, maintaining them, and conducting manual testing of software applications to identify defects. Working closely with the development team, you will ensure the delivery of reliable and user-friendly software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Have a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to provide guidance and gather knowledge. - Design Test-Strategy, provide inputs for Test-Plan, commit Test-Execution, and manage Defect-cycle in Test Management tools. - Align manual testing with business requirements, gather application knowledge, and share insights with Automation testers. - Implement tests post-build and if necessary, as a pre-build measure. - Ensure Test-strategy is achievable to Behaviour-Driven-Development (BDD) standard. - Execute tests to a high-quality standard, including cross-browser testing. - Report detailed execution reports post-regression to customers. - Conduct Root-cause-analysis for unnoticed defects and provide emergency measures to customers. - Maintain bug-details with a focus on a good bug-life-cycle. - Optional knowledge of Automation testing is beneficial. - Create detailed test reports and documentation, ensuring clear and concise defect reporting. - Update test documentation and ensure traceability of test cases to requirements. Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience in quality engineering. - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field. - Experience in Salesforce is a plus. - Experience in writing test-strategies. - Experience in cross-browser test-execution. - Knowledge of XHAR network traffic information is a value-add. - Experience in GUI based testing techniques, Document Object Model (DOM), and Style capturing of elements. - Good knowledge of API testing using SOAP UI or Ready/REST API. - Experience in Report generation from Test Management tools. - Exposure to Agile methodologies. - Willingness to learn and grow in automation testing is welcomed.
