Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Understand product requirements and create detailed
test cases
,
test scenarios
, and
test plans
.
Execute
manual testing
on embedded devices and hardware platforms (e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs).
Perform
functional
,
integration
,
system
, and
regression testing
.
Validate communication interfaces such as
UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet
, etc.
Capture and log issues in a
defect tracking system
(e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Work with development teams to reproduce issues and assist in root cause analysis.
Perform
hardware-in-the-loop (HIL)
or
software-in-the-loop (SIL)
testing if applicable.
Maintain test logs, reports, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

57 years of experience in
manual testing
for
embedded systems
.
Good understanding of
embedded software
, firmware, and system-level testing.
Hands-on experience testing on real hardware and using tools like:
Oscilloscopes
,
logic analyzers
,
multimeters
Serial communication tools (e.g.,
Tera Term
,
Putty
,
Minicom
)
Familiarity with reading
technical specifications
,
schematics
, or
data sheets
.
Experience with
test case management tools
(e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
Basic understanding of
Linux
, RTOS, or command-line environments.
