Manual Test Engineer

Role & Responsibilities Fresher (Manual Tester)

• Understand project requirements and test scenarios
  
• Execute manual test cases for web-based applications
  
• Perform functional testing to ensure application behavior meets requirements
  
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking tools
  
• Assist in database testing using basic SQL queries
  
• Re-test defects after fixes and support regression testing
  
• Collaborate with developers and team members to ensure quality deliverables
  
• Follow testing processes, standards, and documentation practices
  

Preferred Candidate Profile – Fresher

• Fresher with knowledge of Manual Testing concepts
  
• Basic understanding of STLC, SDLC, and testing methodologies
  
• Knowledge of Functional Testing and Web Application Testing
  
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation
  
• Willingness to learn Automation Testing tools
  
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  

Role & Responsibilities – Experienced (Manual Tester)

• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios
  
• Perform Manual, Functional, Regression, and Smoke Testing
  
• Execute Database Testing using SQL queries
  
• Identify, document, and track defects to closure
  
• Participate in test planning, test execution, and test reporting activities
  
• Coordinate with development teams to resolve defects effectively
  
• Ensure adherence to testing standards, processes, and quality benchmarks
  
• Support UAT and production issue validation when required
  

Preferred Candidate Profile – Experienced

• 1+ years of experience in Manual Testing of Web-Based Applications
  
• Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and testing methodologies
  
• Hands-on experience in Functional and Database Testing
  
• Good working knowledge of SQL
  
• Exposure to Automation Testing is an added advantage
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
