Manager/Head- Structural Design

Job Title: Design Manager - Structural Engineering Location: [Hyderabad] Reports To: MD Department: Engineering/Design Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Management: o Lead and manage the overall design process, from concept to completion, ensuring seamless collaboration between architecture, engineering, and construction teams. o Coordinate design reviews, approvals, and submissions with relevant stakeholders. o Ensure design deliverables meet client expectations, project objectives, and compliance with industry standards. o Oversee the integration of innovative design solutions while maintaining structural feasibility. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers. o Manage design changes and ensure proper documentation is updated accordingly.

2. Structural Engineering: o Provide technical leadership on structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring designs meet safety, stability, and performance standards. o Develop structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications, while considering building codes, material properties, and environmental factors. o Perform feasibility studies, load assessments, and risk analysis for proposed structural systems. o Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to address any structural issues during the construction phase.

o Ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative structural solutions.

3. Project Management: o Create and manage design schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. o Monitor project timelines, ensuring key milestones are met and projects remain on track. o Lead regular design coordination meetings with project stakeholders and clients. o Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental sustainability goals.

4. Team Leadership & Development: o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers and engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback. o Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the design team. o Identify and support opportunities for professional growth and development for team members.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering . A Master's degree in or certification Structural Engineering / Architecture or certification Design Management is preferred.

Experience: o 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years in a design management role. o Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams on large-scale construction projects. o In-depth knowledge of building materials, structural systems, and engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, etc.).

Skills: o Strong project management and leadership abilities. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders. o Proficient in structural analysis and design software. o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. o Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices.
