Manager - UK Bookkeeping

As the Full Month-End Close Accountant, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Reviewing P&L and balance sheet to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Performing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving aged items. - Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring correct depreciation postings. - Managing intercompany recharges, reconciliations, and settlements. - Supporting local statutory audits by preparing schedules, providing backing documentation, and posting audit adjustments. - Reviewing and posting expense and credit card journals. - Preparing VAT and other local tax reconciliations in coordination with the central tax team. - Supporting cashflow forecasting by reconciling bank movements and providing monthly actuals. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA or relevant certification preferred. - X years of experience in month-end close processes. - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. - Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. - Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
