Manager Technical and Maintenance

Role Overview: You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance function by planning, implementing, and monitoring preventive & breakdown maintenance activities. Your role will involve ensuring statutory compliance, optimizing maintenance costs, and enhancing equipment efficiency to ensure smooth plant operations. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare, implement, and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules. - Review equipment breakdowns, analyze performance issues, and suggest improvement plans. - Maintain historical records of equipment, including troubleshooting guidelines and diagnostic charts. - Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement preventive measures. - Control maintenance costs by monitoring utility consumption, spares usage, and optimizing resources. - Coordinate with service providers and statutory bodies such as Boiler Inspectorate, Electrical Inspectorate, BESCOM, KSPCB, etc. - Plan procurement of spares and consumables, and ensure inventory control. - Support audits from customers and certifying bodies; prepare compliance reports. - Coordinate with production to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime. - Train and guide newly recruited technicians and upskill existing staff. - Inspect, install, and commission new equipment. - Conduct plant & equipment safety audits and participate in Safety Committee meetings. - Drive automation, energy-saving initiatives, and sustainable practices within the plant. - Ensure upkeep of the overall plant and machinery to support continuous production. Qualifications Required: - B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering - 10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in manufacturing/FMCG/food industry Additional Details of the Company: - Proficiency in MS Excel is required. - Local language proficiency in Kannada is mandatory. - Experience in handling on-roll workers is preferred.
