As a Software Development Lead at Dexcom Corporation, you will play a crucial role in establishing and growing the new R&D Software design center in Bengaluru, India. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership, overseeing software product development and test automation initiatives, and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality solutions. You will lead a team of developers, participate in hiring decisions, and drive the daily operations of the offshore development center. Your role will involve establishing seamless communication channels between India and stakeholders in San Diego and Portland, providing technical leadership to the team, and driving process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce product defects. Key Responsibilities: - Support the ramp up, participate in interviews, hiring decisions, and serve as a technical lead over a team of developers. - Lead the daily operations of the offshore development center including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. - Build and lead an engaged team that is accountable and meets project deliverables. - Establish seamless communication channels between India and stakeholders in San Diego and Portland. - Provide technical leadership to the team in India. - Drive process improvements to reduce the overall product defect rate and increase efficiency. - Manage compliance of the software testing procedures with regulatory guidance and industry best practices. - Create best practices and guidelines for testing methods supporting comprehensive automation and software product testing. - Continually review staffing levels for the Test Engineering Team and recruit high-performing team members. - Be hands-on in software development and testing.
