Manager - Supply Planning

About the Role:

The role entails developing detailed and scientific supply chain resource and speed plans for Last Mile operations (Ekart Logistics) and tracking the relevant metrics for driving plan adherence and continuous improvements.

About the Team:

Planning is a central team responsible for creating business plans, generating forecasts to enable decision making and building supply plans to ensure operational readiness. The team strives to build balanced plans to optimize customer experience, supply chain reliability & operating costs.

The position requires an individual to have relevant supply chain/analytical experience and expertise to enable scientific decision making and performance improvement measures. This role involves high interaction with Flipkart products and necessitates a collaborative individual who can build robust plans, understand complex tech products, build system configurations, negotiate and influence business partners across different functions at Flipkart.

Role & responsibilities

• Understand key drivers of Supply Chain from demand and supply side.
• Build input driven scientific plan/forecast for supply chain and monitor key supply chain metrics.
• Innovate new ways of working to improve forecasts to optimize supply chain cost, reliability and speed.
• Work with cross-functional teams (operations, design, finance, HR) to bring consensus and finalize planning numbers with all functional stakeholders.
• Continuously track specific resource and space requirements based on agreed plans with Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Build planning configurations in tech products to ensure smooth supply chain execution.
• Understand product interaction to drive business use case led improvements with product Analytics.
• Ability to analyze large data and convert into simple presentable forms.
• Proficient in problem solving involving large data sets and advanced optimization.
• Produce trends and charts for performance monitoring for monitoring and control on daily, weekly, monthly basis.
• Proficient in developing zero-touch automated solutions with self-serve capabilities.
• Ability to build sustainable models around supply chain planning KPIs using agile philosophy.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Planning / Analytical roles in Ecommerce, Manufacturing, FMCG, Analytics or Consulting.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills and teamwork
  Functional knowledge of supply strategies, supply planning, supply chain operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting is a plusAbility to influence stakeholders using data storytelling.
• Hands-on experience with automation and capabilities in MS Excel (advanced) and R/Python + SQL (basic-intermediate).
