Manager - Structures

Role & responsibilities

• Structural Design & Analysis:

  Provide expert advice on structural systems and detailing for elements like footings, piles, columns, shear walls, slabs, beams, and retaining walls.

• Development & Innovation:

  Analyze and compare structural systems (framed structures, shear walls, flat slabs, etc.) and formwork systems (Mivan, tunnel form, precast) to identify cost-effective, efficient alternatives.

• Consultant & Vendor Management:

  Appoint, manage, and identify new consultants and vendors for structural engineering projects. Ensure timely deliverables and maintain quality standards.

• Multidisciplinary Coordination:

  Lead coordination with ASMEP consultants and BIM consultants to ensure clash-free designs and seamless project execution.

• Project Support:

  Provide on-site support by responding to RFIs and FCRs promptly, offering retrofitting solutions for NCRs, and ensuring alignment with project requirements.

• Process Adherence & Improvement:

  Ensure compliance with company guidelines, engineering standards, and project timelines. Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity.

• BIM Implementation:

  Drive Building Information Modelling (BIM) initiatives at the zonal level, promoting the effective use of BIM for project design and management.

• Leadership & Team Development:

  Guide, mentor, and lead a team of structural engineers. Facilitate peer reviews, provide technical support, and identify training needs for professional growth.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with teams involved in costing, contracts, procurement, planning, quality, and safety to maintain control over project costs, timelines, and deliverables.

• Site & Field Support:

  Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure structural integrity and safety on-site.

Preferred candidate profile

Masters degree in Structural Engineering from a reputed institution

Proven track record in managing structural design for high-rise residential or township projects.

• Hands-on experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, BIM 360).
• Experience in managing consultants, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and leading engineering projects.

Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and design methodologies.

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, and BIM 360.
• Expertise in value engineering and cost optimization in structural design.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
