Manager / Sr. Manager - Downstream Processing, R&D

As a candidate for the role, you should have knowledge and experience in handling and troubleshooting purification methods at small scale and pilot scale. You should be well versed in various Chromatography techniques such as Ion exchange, Affinity, and HIC, as well as Ultrafiltration TFF (Hollow Fiber/Cassettes). Additionally, familiarity with FPLC, AKTA- Process, and AKTA- Pilot is required. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing, optimizing, and executing purification methods for bacterial and viral vaccines - Experience in Cell lysis, different chromatography platforms, TFF systems, Filtration units, and other unit operations used in protein purification - Optimizing and developing purification methods for proteins expressed in E.coli and mammalian cell culture - Conducting In House Calibration of equipment such as AKTA System, spectrophotometer, Auto pipettes, Weighing balance, pH/conductivity meter, and supervising In House Calibration of pH/conductivity meter - Implementing scale up & scale down experiments for purification of Vaccines and biologics to achieve high yield & quality products - Developing downstream processes, optimizing & scaling up different vaccine bulk (Dengue Vaccine, Hepatitis A Vaccine, E.coli, BPBC/CEPI Vaccine) - Coordinating technology transfer of production processes, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion - Reviewing literature, research papers, and implementing new ideas - Preparing process development reports, process consistency reports, SOPs, BPRs, protocol reports, and other R&D-related documents - Conducting IQ, OQ, and PQ of new equipment to be installed in the downstream processing area In terms of qualifications, you should possess a PhD/M.Sc. in Biotechnology, with experience in Downstream processes (Protein Purification) and preferably from an R&D setup. The company expects candidates with post-PhD to have 8+ years of experience and post-master's to have 16+ years of experience.,
