Job Description

As Staff Software Engineer, you will
Build robust backend systems from concept to completion. Collaborate effectively with diverse teams to create exceptional products. Drive innovation and process improvement. You will be responsible for working with a team of engineers in design, development, testing, and deployment of a range of products on web and mobile platforms. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, strong technical ability, excellent project execution skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Your day-to-day

As a Software Development Manager , you will

Drive both technology and product innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development

Be a technical subject matter expert and represent the full internal and external capabilities of the platform.

Lead complex architectural discussions that involve multiple systems

Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery.

Drive integration efforts and lead critical work streams of strategic initiatives sponsored by senior executives

Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD

Proactive response in identifying and troubleshooting integration or technical issues.

Actively involve in stakeholder communication and setting right priorities for the work

What you need to bring

Expert in Object Oriented Programming, Software Design Patterns, Automated Testing and Deployment

Extensive experience in developing Backend Applications using Java/J2EE and related frameworks like Sprint Boot, Hibernate, JPA, RestFul web services etc.
Exposure to Cloud will be an added advantage

Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field

14+ years of experience in building successful production software systems.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement user-friendly features and interfaces.

Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established standards.

Stay up to date with the latest development trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend best practices to enhance team productivity and product quality.

Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to foster their professional growth and development.

Excellent communication and writing skills

Demonstrate a high level of curiosity, passion for technology, pride of ownership and strive for excellence.
