As a key player in the Supply Chain department in Coimbatore, India, your role will involve planning and delivering materials required from import and local suppliers. This includes raw materials, bought out parts, traded, and subcontracted parts. A crucial aspect of your responsibilities will be the development of suppliers for tool-dependent products, resolving technical issues with suppliers, and managing the purchase activities of indirect items & services cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Ensuring indirect purchase as per policy guidelines - Planning the materials required for Sales, Production, and consumables - Preparation and review of POs required as per MRP, trading items, and Two bins - Managing supplier fulfillment from purchase order issuance to part receipt into stock - Interacting closely with intercompany for Price request, Lead time, Expedite/De-expedite messages, and updating in EDI Portal - Updating and maintaining purchase orders in MRP system for changes in design and delivery requirements - Developing and executing plans to exceed key supplier goals (Inventory DOH, OTD, Cost out) - Planning For Every Part (PFEP) to optimize inventory and improve OTD - Monitoring the ERP Health check and initiating action against error messages - Monitoring supplier performance and initiating focus programs as and when required - Monitoring supplier capacity for subcontracted items - Coordinating and co-leading supplier performance meetings, analyzing data to facilitate and recommend actions for optimal supplier delivery - Driving the implementation of best practices and continual improvements in the procurement process and with suppliers - Complying with Supply Chain and Purchasing procedures and compliance requirements Qualifications: - BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 15 years of experience (Bachelors) Skills: - Experience in handling import and local suppliers - Additional qualification in material management will be preferred - Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably MFG Pro - Proficiency with all MS Office products - Strong analytical and structured thinking skills - Ability to work well in a team - Fluency in English & Tamil is required - Capable of interfacing with all levels of management,
