Manager, SaaS Engineering

Role Overview: You will be working out of the Indore office 5 days a week as a Manager, SaaS Engineering at Vena. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Developers in building highly scalable, resilient, and automated services for Vena's SaaS platform. Your role will involve developing and managing large-scale, fault-tolerant systems and services to ensure outstanding customer experience through automation and orchestration practices. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Sr. Director of SaaS engineering to support and lead the Site Reliability Developers team - Provide technical leadership and oversee planning and deployment functions to ensure sustainability and predictability in technical solution delivery - Mentor and nurture the career growth of the Site Reliability Developers under your supervision - Stay updated with evolving technology landscapes to identify opportunities for modernizing Venas architecture - Advocate for technical and process improvements based on industry best practices within Vena's technology organization - Demonstrate technical capabilities and participate in implementation or proof of concept work as needed - Maintain issue tracking and documentation using Jira and Confluence to ensure proper tracking and visibility of the team's current state - Resolve conflicts by exhibiting leadership and decision-making competencies - Perform any other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of technical experience in IT Operational, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Engineering role - 2-3+ years of experience in a leadership role such as Team Lead or Manager - Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills - Ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships - Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS and Azure, and experience in managing cloud infrastructure with various IaC and orchestration tools - Coding proficiency in any language with examples of work implemented in a production environment - Experience executing a technology roadmap supporting a larger software organization platform - Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high-quality work individually and as part of a team - Familiarity with operational aspects of software systems using telemetry, centralized logging, and alerting tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, and Prometheus,
