As a Software Engineering Manager at Wolters Kluwer Passport, you will play a crucial role in managing the product delivery of the enterprise legal management SaaS product. Your responsibilities will include challenging the status quo, driving innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery. Reporting directly to the Director of Product Software Engineering, your role is vital for the growth of the product and business unit within Wolters Kluwer. **Responsibilities And Accountabilities:** - Obsessively focus on customer experience and ensure continual delivery of value. - Lead effectively to instill trust, empower team members, focus on business outcomes, and foster a learning culture. - Foster a DevOps culture to streamline application development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes. - Manage a team of 5-10+ engineers to deliver the product on time with superior quality. - Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies, influencing solutions for Passport. - Participate in code reviews, set coding standards, and troubleshoot when necessary. - Collaborate with cross-functional leads to design and develop modifications and enhancements. - Coordinate with Product Management in various development areas including planning, estimation, risk mitigation, delivery, and support. - Conduct performance appraisals, provide coaching/mentoring, and ensure operational escalations are managed effectively. - Produce high-quality software and drive continuous improvement for enhanced efficiency. - Mentor technical managers and engineers through formal and informal channels. - Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Requirements And Qualifications:** - **Education:** - Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E. or B. Tech.), Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree is highly preferred. - **Experience and Skill Set:** - Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 7 years in Java front-end technologies like React/Angular. - Minimum 3 years of experience managing small to medium-sized teams. - Proficiency in web development with client-side scripting languages. - Extensive experience with GIT-based source control systems, Azure native applications, and agile methodologies. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strategic thinker with the ability to oversee multiple complex project deliveries in parallel.
