Manager, Product Development

The Manager of Product Development is responsible for implementing the development process to resolve issues and identify opportunity areas. You will lead product development teams and establish and implement best practices and standards related to engineering processes through all phases of the software development life cycle. You will provide development, implementation, and deployment guidance as per approved design by collaborating with stakeholders. Ensuring that functional engineering domain expertise is deployed and integrated efficiently to meet project requirements and deliverables across all locations. Your leadership, vision, and strategy will align the daily operations of the development teams with the present and long-term goals of the business. Developing/enhancing architectural design frameworks to ensure high-quality information systems are delivered expeditiously and aligned with business objectives. Managing technically focused scrum teams potentially across multiple locations. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, with a Master's Degree preferred. You should have over 11 years of experience in SDLC, with at least 5 years of software development experience including substantial and complex whole lifecycle software development management experience. Additionally, 1+ years of experience in leading scrum teams is preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in software product development. Experience leading technology direction is also preferred. You should be a strategic thinker and proven leader/team player with strong communication and collaboration skills. A customer-champion with success in producing innovative products, services, and supporting processes focused on improving bottom-line results. Proficient in understanding market and technology trends, customer needs, and developing product development strategy. Ability to build solid business plans including appropriate ROI and related business analysis. Proficiency in delivering and selling that vision through all levels of management within the organization. Ability to determine clear prioritization and appropriate trade-offs regarding product roadmap candidates, resourcing, and timing. Proficiency in MS Office applications; VersionOne, TFS, Jira experience is a plus. Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile principles is also preferred. Hands-on experience in technologies such as C#, .NetCore, .NET Framework, MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres, NoSQL databases, NodeJS, JavaScript frameworks like Angular is required. Strong knowledge of implementing and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with messaging Queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ) and hands-on experience with Python. Experience in building ETL pipelines like HL7/FHIR, and hands-on experience with AWS services (certifications are a plus). Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and the ability to guide technical conversations around AI initiatives. Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD workflows is essential for this role.,
