Job Description

Role Overview: As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to implement the go-to-market strategy for the business, drive key customer relationships, and undertake key customer negotiation activities to achieve sales, profit, and market share goals. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-order activities such as understanding customer needs, studying processes, and performing electrical load analysis at customer sites. - Assist in sales by contributing to solution design and validation, understanding customer tender specifications, and preparing site drawings, bid documents, and technical submissions. - Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for turnkey solutions, coordinate with customers' technical teams, electrical consultants, and project managers. - Handle post-order activities including preparing project technical submittals, advising on adequate sizing of power cables, switch gears, breakers, heat loss, and AC sizing. - Coordinate with electrical contractors to execute projects acquired by sales engineers, conduct pre-dispatch inspections (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT). - Manage the handover process including site handover preparation, documentation, obtaining sign-offs from customers, architects, Project Management Consultants (PMC), and electrical consultants. - Provide sales support and contribute to application development by exploring new applications, capturing product feature queries from customers, and providing technical support during tender bidding. - Engage in technical discussions with clients, customers, and consultants. Qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is highly desirable. - Minimum of 8-10 years of field sales experience. - Previous experience in presales with UPS systems. Skills: - Highly skilled in electrical fundamentals with a deep understanding of UPS technology and applications. - Proficiency in using high-end power analyzers and hands-on experience with CAD. - Familiarity with data center solutions is a plus. - Strong technical presentation and discussion skills with electrical consultants and key decision-makers. - Analytical skills and market intelligence.
