• Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance (End-to-End)

• Manage the complete GST process including preparation of documentation, data validation, and filing of monthly/annual returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
  
• Ensure timely reconciliation between books, portal data, and vendor records (2A/2B).
  
• Oversee input tax credit (ITC) management, GST payments, and respond to departmental queries.
  
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities during GST audits and assessments.
  

• Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

• Oversee compliance with Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory tax obligations.
  
• Review and verify TDS deductions, payments, and filing of quarterly returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.).
  
• Prepare data and documentation for tax audits, advance tax calculations, and assessments.
  
• Support statutory auditors and consultants in tax planning and finalization.
  
• Ensure accurate accounting of deferred tax and other relevant provisions.
  

• Month-End Closing

• Ensure all accounting entries are completed before month-end closure.
  
• Review trial balance, ledgers, and reconciliations for accuracy.

• Payment Processing

• Prepare and mail the payment file for approval.
  
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation before release.
  

• SAP Transaction Oversight

• Review and approve SAP entries passed by makers.
  
• Ensure timely posting and correction of accounting entries in SAP.
  

• Team Supervision

• Monitor and guide the work of junior staff in the Plant Accounts Department.
  
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  

• Sundry Creditors Management

• Manage vendor accounts, ensure timely reconciliation, and resolve discrepancies.
  

• Import & Export Documentation

• Approve import bills of entry and export shipping bills.
  
• Handle submission of import/export documents to banks and manage inward remittances.

Fixed Assets Management

• Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register.
  
• Oversee capitalization, depreciation, and disposal entries.

• Investments Accounting

• Record and monitor transactions related to purchase, sale, and redemption of investments.
  
• Ensure capital gain/loss entries are properly accounted for.
  

• Foreign Exchange Management

• Handle accounting for foreign currency transactions and record forex variance entries.
  

1. MIS & Data Reporting

• Prepare statistical data for central budget submissions.
  
• Generate MIS reports related to manpower, electricity consumption, and other plant KPIs.
  

2. Audit & Compliance

• Coordinate with internal, statutory, and tax auditors.
  
• Provide necessary schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
  

3. Other Assignments

• Address and resolve management queries and inter-departmental concerns.
  
• Handle any other finance and accounting-related activities as assigned by the

  VPO
