Manager of Machine Learning

The company Deccan AI is looking for a dynamic individual to join them as the Head of Machine Learning (ML) in Hyderabad, India. As the Head of Machine Learning, you will be responsible for leading the AI and ML initiatives of the company. This role requires a deep expertise in ML/Generative AI, a strong academic background from a top-tier institution, and prior experience in a startup environment. The ideal candidate should excel in ambiguous environments, have experience working with clients, and be passionate about driving AI innovation. Your key responsibilities will include defining and executing the ML and GenAI strategy to align with business goals, leading and scaling a high-performance ML team, driving AI/ML initiatives from concept to deployment, and navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment. Additionally, you will oversee the development of cutting-edge ML and GenAI models, stay updated with AI trends, integrate the latest technologies into product offerings, engage with clients to deliver tailored AI solutions, communicate complex AI concepts to various stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful AI product integrations. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in ML/GenAI, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position. Prior experience in a startup environment and client-facing roles is crucial. You should also possess expertise in deep learning, generative models, and relevant AI technologies such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. Experience in deploying and scaling AI/ML models in production is also required. A top-tier academic background (PhD or Masters) in AI, ML, or a related field is preferred. Soft skills such as high-energy, self-driven attitude, strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.,
