Manager- MEP(Mechinical )

Role & responsibilities

A) Design & Planning

• Review mechanical designs, drawings, BOQs, and specifications provided by consultants.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project teams for design integration.
• Validate load calculations, HVAC designs, ducting layouts, pump sizing, ventilation, STP/ WTP systems, etc.
• Ensure designs meet NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local authority norms.

B. Project Execution & Monitoring

• Oversee execution of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and mechanical works at site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Ensure contractors follow approved drawings, safety norms, and QA/QC standards.
• Coordinate technical clarifications between consultants and contractors.

C. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Evaluate technical proposals, tender documents, and cost estimates.
• Participate in vendor finalization, rate analysis and techno-commercial negotiations.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to timelines.

Certify contractor bills and variations.

E. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure statutory compliance for fire, environment, and mechanical systems.
• Prepare reports, test certificates, and commissioning documents.
• Support in obtaining NOCs (Fire, PMC/PCMC, MIDC, Electrical Inspector, etc.)

F. Testing & Commissioning

• Lead testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC, pumps, fire pumps, AHUs, chillers, DG exhaust & ventilation systems.
• Ensure smooth handover of MEP services to facility management team.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
• 10 to 12 years total experience in MEP execution, with minimum 45 years in Commercial/Corporate Office/IT Park projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing, and mechanical service integration.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, and MEP coordination software preferred.
• Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD & project quality tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and vendor coordination skills
• Ability to balance creativity with project timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience.
