Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop and implement the objectives and goals of machine shop to achieve the Organisations targets Drive initiatives to achieve operational excellence, improve customer satisfaction and productivity Responsible for planning the work to ensure that the targets are met as per the schedule Ensure all resources including tools, fixtures and accessories are available at all times for completion of tasks Direct the development and implementation of systems and procedures relating to machine shop operational processes. Responsible for managing the cost and budget of the machining function Responsible to increase the efficiency and productivity of the employees by identifying the skill gap and taking action to bridge the gap Responsible for machine availability through preventive and break down maintenance by setting up systems for periodic reviews/checks Responsible for setting up systems for reviewing the cleaning of Machine schedule & 5S Responsible for optimization of machine time and to build machining capacity Responsible for determining the quality control and standards of Machining activities Responsible for ensuring the availability of tools & fixtures for current and future requirements Responsible for implementation of automation of processes and new technologies to enhance productivity Responsible for adherence and implementation of Organisations policies/standards in his/her team (administrative, HR, Quality) Implementation of autonomous maintenance Preferred candidate profile BE/B. Tech. - 10 years of relevant experience in Machine shops of Automotive/general engineering DME- 15 years of relevant experience in Machine shops of Automotive/general engineering Hands on experience in CNC, VMC, machine operation, fixturing, cycle time optimization, process planning and programme optimization, automation
