YOUR ROLE: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with the interest of exploring product design for interior spacing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing innovative interior products with understanding of furniture, lighting, fixtures, and decor elements, while balancing aesthetics, functionality, and market trends. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, material knowledge, and artistic vision to develop high quality, user-centric products for interior spaces. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Product Design & Development Conceptualize and design new acoustic panel solutions with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and acoustic performance. Develop 3D models, renderings, and prototypes for design validation. Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency. 2. Material & Sustainability Focus Research and integrate eco-friendly materials to enhance product sustainability. Explore surface treatments, embossing techniques, and color finishes to expand design possibilities. Collaborate with suppliers to improve material properties, durability, and acoustic effectiveness. 3. Design for Customization & Market Needs Develop modular, parametric, and customizable designs to cater to different project requirements. Stay updated with architectural, interior design, and acoustic industry trends to introduce innovative patterns, textures, and configurations. Create digital assets (textures, patterns, and renderings) for marketing and client presentation with the help of the team. 4. Technical & Manufacturing Collaboration Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless CNC cutting, molding, and finishing of products. Optimize designs for efficient manufacturing, minimizing material wastage and cost. Support in developing technical documentation, installation guides, and specifications for clients. 5. Testing & Compliance Collaborate with acoustic engineers to test sound absorption, NRC values, and fire resistance properties. Ensure products comply with international standards (ASTM, ISO, EN) for acoustic and building materials. REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Strong design thinking and problem-solving abilities. Expertise in material selection, finishes, and production techniques. Ability to create detailed technical 2D drawings and 3D visualizations. Experience in prototyping and model-making. Strong project management and multitasking skills. Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines. Preferred Skills (Bonus): Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or other cutting-edge fabrication techniques. Strong understanding of sustainable design practices and expertise in incorporating eco-friendly materials into design solutions. Qualification and Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other industrystandard tools. Salary would be in line with the experience.
