JOB PURPOSE

  • Manage the books of accounts and ensure compliance for various entities, including LLPs, Companies, and Trusts.
  • Coordinate with auditors for account audits and handle loans from banks.
  • Submit MIS reports, resolve statutory compliance issues, file returns (Income Tax, GST, TDS), and make statutory payments on time.
  • Manage bank accounts and provide support to team members for efficient operations.

Note:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintaining Books of Accounts:

  • Review and analyze accounts for various entities.
  • Clean the books by identifying and addressing pending items.
  • Ensure books of accounts are updated and accurate across all entities.

Reconciliations:

  • Reconcile advances, debtors, bank accounts, investments, secured loans, unsecured loans, etc.
  • Complete reconciliations by the 7th of the next month.

Lease Arrangements:

  • Finalize or renew lease agreements.
  • Prepare and submit rental invoices to group companies and others by the 5th of the next month.
  • Follow up and recover rent payments.

Bank Transactions:

  • Oversee income collections and payment processing across entities.
  • Monitor bank reconciliations and ensure timely tracking.

Monitoring Loans/Borrowings:

  • Coordinate with bankers for loan disbursements and monitor loans availed in the GCMBCA division.
  • Ensure timely EMI payments, monitor charges, negotiate for charge reductions, and update books accordingly.
  • Provide periodic MIS and updates as per the loan agreements.

Indirect Tax Compliance (TDS, GST):

  • Ensure statutory payments (TDS, GST) and file returns for entities within stipulated due dates.
  • Respond to any notices from the tax department and ensure zero errors and no penalties.

Income Tax Compliance:

  • Calculate and make payments for advance tax.
  • Finalize income tax returns and file them in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the tax department for assessments and submissions.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit MIS reports to superiors, ensuring error-free statements.

Credit Card Payments:

  • Review and reconcile credit card payments.
  • Clear any outstanding amounts in credit card accounts.

Audit Management:

  • Finalize accounts and work closely with auditors for account sign-offs.
  • Ensure timely completion of audits as required by regulatory requirements (quarterly, half-yearly, yearly).

GEPL Accountabilities:

  • Manage accounts for 3-4 companies under GEPL, ensuring compliance with the above accountabilities.

INTERACTIONS

External Interactions:

  • Direct and Indirect Taxation Teams for statutory compliance verifications (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Bankers for resolving banking issues and managing loan-related matters.
  • Government Departments (Commercial Tax Office, GST Office) for filing periodical returns and resolving issues.

Internal Interactions:

  • CFO & CEO of GEPL for discussions on financial matters.
  • Various GMR Group employees for the preparation, renewal, and execution of rental agreements.
  • Statutory Auditors for the timely completion and signing of financial documents.

DIMENSIONS

Financial Dimensions:

  • Revenue collection and monitoring of investments and expenses, managing amounts equivalent to annual or quarterly revenue projections.

Other Dimensions:

  • Managing employees in various GMR Group companies and SSC (Shared Services Center).
  • Handling communication with promoters PAs for documentation and financial management.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications:

  • CA / M.Com. / B.Com., with a strong understanding of Tally, Word, Excel, and analytical skills in finance and accounting.

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting, with a total experience of 15 years or more.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT

  • Completion of all reconciliations and audits within specified deadlines.
  • Timely statutory payments and filings without errors or penalties.
  • Successful coordination with auditors, tax departments, and bankers.
  • Effective management of accounts for GEPL companies, ensuring compliance across all areas.
