Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the following: - Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and estimates for projects within the specified time schedule. You will then submit these to the Head of Department for approval. - Sourcing quotations from contractors and purchases, creating Comparative Statement of Quotations (CSQ) to analyze the best offers. - Issuing error-free BOQs with specifications and scope of works to the Contract and Purchase team. - Verifying requisitions received from Site Engineers with the estimated BOQ and sending them to the Material Coordinator. - Preparation of Yearly Fund Flow submissions to the Accounts department on a quarterly and yearly basis, with revisions based on project progress. This requires proper coordination with Project Managers and the management team. - Compiling monthly estimation reports for all sites by the 5th of every month. - Monitoring, coaching, and motivating the team to achieve or surpass their Key Result Areas (KRAs). - Reviewing proposal specifications and drawings, attending pre-bid meetings, and determining the scope of work and required content for estimates. - Evaluating design options and recommending the best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, and material availability. - Incorporating historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man-hour figures. - Determining critical path schedules and work sequences. - Calculating complete take-offs of the scope of work, pricing work items with the team, and preparing estimates. - Maintaining backup files of working documents for estimate figures, including up-to-date price information from suppliers. - Attending project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as necessary. - Gathering and monitoring actual costs versus estimated costs, maintaining project cost history. You should possess the following skills: - Planning & Organizing - Communication & Interpersonal skills - Result Orientation - Flexibility - Negotiation Skills Additionally, you must have knowledge of AutoCAD, MS-Project, and MS-Office (especially MS Excel), as these are mandatory for the role.
