Manager-Environmental Sustainability

Role Overview

The Environmental & Sustainability Manager will lead and oversee environmental performance across multiple garment manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for environmental compliance, data governance, audit management, sustainability program implementation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure alignment with buyer, legal, and organizational sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Data & Performance Management

• Lead, supervise, and validate the collection, verification, correction, and analysis of environmental data from garment facilities.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly environmental data entry on customer sustainability portals and Higg/Worldly FEM platforms.
  
• Monitor facility-level environmental KPIs and drive performance improvements.
  

Audit & Compliance Leadership

• Manage end-to-end third-party environmental audits, including coordination with auditors and facility teams.
  
• Oversee the preparation, submission, and closure of Corrective Action Plans (CAP) based on audit findings.
  
• Conduct internal environmental audits across facilities following organizational standards and guidelines.
  
• Ensure compliance with all environment-related requirements and oversee statutory reporting/returns to KSPCB in coordination with the legal team.
  

Sustainability Program & Stakeholder Coordination

• Lead monthly environmental reporting and performance reviews with the central sustainability team.
  
• Identify environmental improvement opportunities across units and guide implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Oversee the execution of sustainable initiatives, including decarbonisation, resource optimization, energy efficiency, and water recycling efforts.
  
• Support manufacturing units in meeting buyer-specific environmental and sustainability criteria.
  

Training & Awareness

• Develop and deliver environmental and sustainability training programs for facility teams.
  
• Enhance awareness on chemical management, energy use, waste management, and best environmental practices.
  

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Higg/Worldly FEM modules and hands-on experience with FEM self-assessment processes.
  
• Understanding of industrial water recycling processes and wastewater management.
  
• Good knowledge of decarbonisation pathways, energy management systems, and resource efficiency.
  
• Knowledge of chemical management compliance and related risk mitigation measures.
  
• Proficiency in identifying, implementing, and monitoring preventive and corrective environmental actions in manufacturing settings.
  

Education

• Bachelors Degree in

  Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Sustainability

  .
• A Master’s degree in Sustainability/Environmental Management (preferred but not mandatory).
