Role Overview: As a Development Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop commodity aggregates starting from RFQ study, Technical feasibility, TRSO, and following the robust Prox process. You will ensure that parts are developed in line with Quality and quantity targets, ensuring timely delivery to meet project milestones. Additionally, you will be required to closely coordinate with ERC, Product Line, and Suppliers to ensure successful development and launch of new parts. Key Responsibilities: - Advance Quality Strategy execution: Implement action plans in part development strategies aggregate wise to ensure on-time flawless launch, capacity enhancement, and VAVE. Develop out-sourced parts from Suppliers for new projects and deploy action plans for part development with respect to project milestones. Comply with ProX processes for new projects, execute action plans for capacity enhancements, implement and verify corrective actions, conduct physical verification and tool capitalization activities, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance related to part development. - Profitability Enhancement: Implement syndicated and ERC released ideas of VAVE. Coordinate and Participate in idea generation workshops with Suppliers. - Building Sustainable Supplier Base: Conduct onsite MSA, prepare and release assessment reports for new and existing sources, and implement development actions for alternate sources to support supplier base rationalization initiative. - People Management: Adhere to training and development plans. Qualifications Required: - Education: B.E./B.Tech - Relevant Experience: 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in the Automobile Industry with in-depth knowledge of supplier base, manufacturing processes, APQP, PPAP, SPC, problem-solving techniques, upcoming technology, and technical knowledge of Part specification/Part development, Quality tools.
