Job Description

The position requires you to be responsible for the development of commodity aggregates, starting from RFQ study, Technical feasibility, TRSO, and following a robust Prox process. Your role will involve ensuring that parts are developed in line with quality and quantity targets, ensuring timely delivery meeting project milestones. Additionally, close co-ordination with ERC, Product Line, and Suppliers will be a key aspect of this position. You will be responsible for the execution of the Advance Quality Strategy, implementing action plans in part development strategies aggregate-wise to ensure flawless launch, capacity enhancement, and VAVE. Development of out-sourced parts from Suppliers for new projects, deployment of action plans for part development with respect to project milestones, and compliance with ProX processes will be part of your responsibilities. You will also need to execute action plans for capacity enhancements, implement and verify corrective actions, conduct physical verification activities, and ensure onsite PPAP for each part. Furthermore, you will be required to implement profitability enhancement strategies, coordinate and participate in idea generation workshops with Suppliers, and work towards building a sustainable supplier base. People management, adherence to training and development plans, and stakeholder interactions with internal departments such as Product Line, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance, as well as external interactions with Suppliers and Technical Services will be crucial aspects of this role. The ideal candidate for this position would hold a B.E./B.Tech degree with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in the Automobile Industry. In-depth knowledge of supplier base, manufacturing processes, APQP, PPAP, SPC, problem-solving techniques, upcoming technology, and technical knowledge of part specification/development and quality tools are desired qualifications. Key skills and competencies required for this role include a drive for results, customer centricity, dealing with ambiguity, interpersonal effectiveness, business acumen, problem-solving orientation, risk management, and timely decision-making.,
