E&I Maintenance Operations

• Assume overall responsibility for smooth function and maintenance of all electrical and instrumentation equipment on the plant
• Review and analyse daily log sheet and other key maintenance parameters such as equipment healthiness, downtime, with reasons of deviation and accordingly take necessary corrective action
• Oversee availability of equipment as per plan by ensuring preventive and predictive maintenance checklist, history card, breakdown analysis, spare planning etc
• Resolve on-going issues in the plant (example: weigh variation and double round due to higher blain in electronic packer, to be solved by equipment modification)
• Improve working methods, processes & solutions followed in the plant to improve the plant performance (example: new initiatives and innovations such as equipment modification to get live trends, cell status etc.)
• Conduct regular interaction primarily with internal stakeholders including technical departments (Mechanical, Process, QC, Civil, packing plant) and commercial departments (Accounts, logistics, materials)
• Carry out communication with external stakeholders on a need basis including Central and state government authorities and vendors
• Planning & coordination of department maintenance activities including shutdown planning and execution. meetings exchange of mails for coordination with other technical departments for smooth and better maintenance practice
• Planning, technical discussion and part of procurement process, commissioning of running plant projects
• Convince and coordinate with unit head in order to implement new initiatives and innovations such as up-gradation of obsolete and inefficient equipment on the basis of benefits and payback
• Review and contact technical vendors from time to time to ensure performance by inspecting
• the efficiency, accuracy and condition monitoring of the equipment and intimate vendors on
• abnormalities
