Role Overview: As a Manager in the Deal Advisory Services department at BDO India, you will play a crucial role in structuring M&A transactions appropriately to address the evolving tax and regulatory landscape. Your responsibilities will include conducting research on transaction tax laws, preparing deliverables, performing direct tax diligence, staying updated on industry trends, and contributing to knowledge sharing efforts within the firm. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct research and analysis on transaction tax related laws for inbound and outbound deals, corporate reorganizations, and securities market aspects - Apply tax theory and positions to address specific client needs - Prepare deliverables in various formats such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or email based on research findings - Perform direct tax diligence on targets by scrutinizing past tax issues, records, and compliance, and document findings in a diligence report - Utilize tax practice processes and tools efficiently - Stay informed about the latest developments in the tax landscape and share industry trend articles - Maintain updated records of internal documents and working papers - Assist in creating training presentations on recent regulatory developments - Support knowledge sharing efforts and enhance processes for knowledge capture and leverage - Network internally within the firm to understand issues that may impact clients - Ensure compliance with risk management strategies and activities - Follow up on billing and collection processes Qualification Required: - At least 4 years of relevant experience in M&A Tax - Chartered Accountant (CA) Additional Company Details: At BDO India, we provide M&A services under a single roof, where each mandate involves collaboration with experienced partners to ensure effective implementation of advice for clients.
