Job Purpose

The Manager - Corporate Insurance is responsible for securing comprehensive insurance solutions spanning Projects, Employee Benefits, Assets, Marine Cargo ensuring optimal coverage at the most competitive terms.

The Manager is responsible for handling all claims matters end to end in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders, including liaising effectively with insurers to secure prompt settlements

Providing management information (MI) reports and acts as a key liaison among various IC coordinators to handle all requirements arising from these IC's

Key Responsibilities

  1. Insurance Program Administration:

    Securing comprehensive insurance solutions spanning Projects, Employee Benefits, Assets, ensuring optimal coverage at the most competitive terms.
  2. Claims Management & Resolution:

    Handle all claims matters end to end in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders ensure accurate documentation, effective negotiation, and prompt settlement.
  3. Risk Management Support:

    Arrange, monitor and coordinate insurance risk surveys as required and ensure that all risk management recommendations are complied with by the respective Business units.
  4. MI Support:

    Provide management information reports
  5. IC Coordination:

    Acts as a key liaison among various IC coordinators to handle all requirements arising from these IC's

Key Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education:

    Graduate degree
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the insurance field, with significant exposure to Project, Asset Insurance, claims handling, and risk management.
  • Professional Certifications:

    Associateship or Fellowship from Insurance Institute of India or MBA in Insurance from (NIA Pune, Amity, BIMTECH or any other reputed University)
  • Technical Expertise:

    Demonstrated hands-on experience in end-to-end insurance program administration and claims resolution for similar Project driven organisations.
  • Skills:

    Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills ability to handle complex insurance placements and resolve claims efficiently.

Performance Expectations / Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Ensure 100% timely renewal of all insurance policies and appropriate coverage adequacy across the company and group entities.
  • Ensure all Project extension requirements are handled timely and in a cost effective manner.
  • Achieve targeted claim settlement turnaround times
  • Implement and track risk improvement measures, reducing identified exposures by agreed benchmarks
  • Deliver measurable savings or cost avoidance in insurance premiums and claims recoveries through negotiation and program design.
