Manager - Central Accounting

As a Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years of experience in finance and/or accounting department of a manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in the Asset Management, Statutory Audit, General Ledger, Closing, Reporting, and other key responsibilities at Covestro. Your responsibilities will include: - **Assets Management:** - Perform physical inventory verification of all Fixed Assets once in three years and arrange for Assets tags on a monthly and as-needed basis. - Monitor the status of open CWIP and drive correct Capital spares accounting. - Manage Projects related tasks like monitoring PO/PR status and Capitalisation certificate. - Ensure Borrowing Cost capitalization for local reporting. - **Statutory Audit, Group Audit And Control & Others:** - Support external & internal audit and perform ICS controls in your area of expertise. - Provide specialized ad hoc and project support specific to your area of expertise. - Prepare data for audits and state-wise financial details for statutory regulations. - **General Ledger:** - Perform GL posting and create awareness on the usage of standard tools. - Monitor Accounts/Cadency requests, ensure accuracy in posting, and provide accrual & provision tracking for balances. - Monitor the correct usage of GL accounts in Purchase Orders. - **Closing:** - Understand and perform the overall HB I and HBII closing process together with the Global Service Centre. - Review the results of different processes from a local reporting perspective. - Review and achieve the KPIs of General Accounting and Asset Accounting set by GSC. - **Reporting:** - Support actual reporting in Prokon tool and perform actual annual local reporting. - Prepare additional financials for Advance Tax and awareness creation for potential qualification. - Coordinate and prepare financial folder for yearly Board Meeting. You will add value to the success of the company by delivering timely & accurate reports, ensuring audit finalization without qualifications, supporting audits, informing GSC about legal requirements, and ensuring compliance in accounting under various laws. Your education as a Chartered Accountant, experience in finance/accounting, knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS, and local laws, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills, will be essential for this role. Experience with SAP and fluency in English are required.
