Operations Manager

Core Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations Management (Export):

Manage all operational activities for time-chartered bulk vessels, ensuring strict adherence to contracts and schedules.
Execute time charter contracts and oversee full voyage operations, focusing on the export cycle.

2. Coordination & Documentation:

Prepare and issue comprehensive
voyage instructions
to Master, Agents, and Brokers.
Coordinate with port authorities, surveyors, and vessel staff for smooth port calls.

3. Financial & Commercial:

Critical handling of
bunker sourcing and procurement
.
Expertly conduct
laytime calculation
and prepare/process
demurrage invoicing
.
Maintain detailed performance logs, manage voyage accounts, and ensure timely recovery/payment.

4. Reporting & Compliance:

Ensure accurate
P&L reporting
for each voyage.
Execute timely and complete file closures with all necessary documentation.
Monitor vessel performance and identify areas for efficiency improvement.

Mandatory Requirements:

Min. 5-6 years
of experience in a similar role within a shipping or chartering company.
Strong knowledge of
post-fixture operations
and
charter party terms
.
Proficiency in
laytime/demurrage calculations
is essential.
Excellent communication skills for global coordination.
