Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Process & Productivity Improvement

  • Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor productivity enhancement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen principles.
  • Establish and maintain time and motion studies, line balancing and work measurement systems.
  • Optimize layout design, material flow and manpower utilization for maximum efficiency.

2. Capacity Planning & Resource Optimization

  • Plan and monitor capacity utilization of machinery, manpower and floor space.
  • Develop models for capacity forecasting, bottleneck analysis and production planning.
  • Support the introduction of new products, ensuring process feasibility and efficient production setups.

3. Cost Reduction & Efficiency Initiatives

  • Lead cost improvement projects through process optimization, waste reduction and automation.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce variability.

4. Data Analysis & Performance Measurement

  • Define and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, productivity and process quality.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of operational performance data and report findings with actionable insights.
  • Use digital tools and IE software (e.g., AutoCAD, MOST, MTM, Excel, Power BI) for data-driven decision-making.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of Industrial Engineers and continuous improvement specialists.
  • Build capability within the IE team through training on lean manufacturing, problem-solving and analytical tools.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain and product development teams to ensure alignment of process improvement goals.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by establishing optimal production setups and cost-effective processes.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 - 12 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Process Improvement, with at least 35 years in a managerial or supervisory role
